I would love to show you a hairy coffee table that still attracts my attention and makes me think how creative some designers can be. Here comes a Sancal Ellipse Coffee table designed by Rafael Garcia Sancal company Spanish furniture design.

The following elegant coffee table features a cardboard cover and bottom are held together by an enameled steel and thanks to this fact it seems to be suspended in the air.

According to the author, he draw inspiration from the strapping male spirit. I love the fact that the table is stylish in form, but also functional in usage.

The Sancal Elipse is available in two different dimensions.

One of the most unusual tea tables I’ve ever seen – “ripple effect tea table” by Korean industrial designer jeonghwa seo in partnership with hanna chung.

The main idea behind this table is to show that small changes of an individual person or object can make big impact on the larger society. So, here it comes the “ripple effect tea table.”

According to the designers all the ripples are created on the top water layer of the table surface every time the tea cup
and saucer are moved by the user.

Really cool!

Norwegian designer Kristine Bjaadal has just unveiled her completely unusual tablecloth during the Stockholm furniture fair 2010. At a first look this tablecloth looks completely usual and traditional. White cloth with cute white butterflies. But, after a closer inspection, this cloth turns to be … a hit!

White flowers change their colour and show a hidden pattern when wet. Main idea behind this tablecloth is the way we treat this world – we should treat it positive, I mean it’s evident that every negative situations should be turned into a positive one.

For example, one of your guests or even you spilled a drink … what a terrible situation!? Not anymore.

Today I opened to myself a new store CLIO, located in SoHo, NYC. It presents great selection of extremely hot and stylish tabletop items. After an hour of looking through its pages, I decided that there it is possible to find almost everything. It is one of the biggest shops, offering products from designers all over the world.

I was glad to find out, that even bridal gifts are not a problem. The shop was opened 6 years ago and it is a family business.
