Sima Pashtun is one of the most unusual and fantastic rugs I have ever seen. This rug with a 3D effect was designed by Mauricio Lara and Sebastián Lara of eos méxico. According to the artists, the rug was Inspired by the traditional ancient rugs and made with the same 3,000-year-old Tibetan technique. The Sima Pashtun rug gives the awesome illusion that you are sinking into the ground like quicksand.

The rug was designed by Armenian-born and Istanbul-raised duo. The idea was implemented by Odabashian Trading Corp., and nowadays the Sima Pashtun rug is being exhibited at the Franz Mayer Museum in Mexico City.
