All about green

Eco-friendly and green. Both these words seem to penetrate into all spheres of our lives. Everything must be green: cars, houses, utensils and furniture. In 2008 the focus is made on natural, organic and recycled products and materials. More and more interior designers pay attention to nature and make houses elegant, stylish and beautiful. Leather comes into all spheres of interior design. It’s an absolute favorite. Soft and gentle colours are perfect.

Furniture accessories and opulence

More and more designers say “good-bye!” to minimalism and think that bright and stylish design is not everything we need to make a modern house, there must be a lot of accessories in order to make life more organized: big lamps, mirrors, layers, bright colours, offbeat and unexpected colour combinations, chandeliers are welcomed. Both baroque and luxury are going to come back.

Contrasts and mixes

“Themed” rooms and designs are not welcomed anymore. It’s no use for a kitchen to be made in one, for example, country style. Mixes are on the top of popularity. More and more people want to mix colours and to make designs in which they say farewell to “themes”. Combinations will be unpredictable and rather unusual, for instance, a soft and elegant chair with a rough rug.

Gray, blue, metal colours

These colours will definitely replace traditional black and white (at least, in this season). Such tones as putty, stone and granite will make a breakthrough. these tones are really deep, versatile and promising. Nice change.
