Experience a brand new approach to lighting a room, these weird lamps resemble everything but ordinary table lamps. To my mind, this lamp array design by Jaren Goh looks like mushrooms sprouting from the Earth.

Creativeness… everybody wants to be a creative person and should the opportunity present itself to show this creativeness. Some people try to hide this but it is no use to make in defiance of common sense. So, ladies and gentlemen, Maurizio Lamponi is to your attention.
Maurizio Lamponi used to be an ordinary student of ordinary Mechanical Engineering Faculty in Milan, he learned technique, manufacturing and art… But, it was not his way, he wasn’t interested in what he was learned. So, when occasion offered he started collaborating with a photographer and in 1984 even managed to open his own design studio.
His bio is bright and interesting but it is not the point of our conversation, so let’s better enjoy his works, namely – LAMPS. It is important to know, that every lamp is “an only copy” and if you have chosen a lamp, that is not available right now, you’ll have to wait not less then 30 days . No doubts, it takes some time to manufacture this masterpiece. And, pay attention, even two lamps of one model, can have some differences.
Every lamp was born in mind and imagination of Maurizio Lamponi and started as a sketch. The following photos are excellent, just enjoy them…
Exhibitions are always feasts and they attract thousands of people. And, as a rule, only popular artists are highlighted there. But, not so, far I visited an exhibition of my friends. One of them is a 4th-years student at Architecture University. She is extremely talented and almost all her things are masterpieces. I adore watching her working or creating something. This exhibition “WaterParad” was devoted to Seven Wonders of The World, she was showing her basin in a Student Concept division.
So, don’t be confused or puzzled, each basin possesses its own title, sometimes really strange, but…
The first one, is a general view onto the whole exposition. It is amazing, isn’t it?
The next one is a marvellous basin from transparent glass, so it is lovely to wash your hands in it and to enjoy water. It has no siphon, so, you can just pour water there and fresh yourself.
I’ve worked in the fashion industry for twenty years but moonlighting in dumpster diving has served me equally well: the birth of my string lampshade series can be traced to an afternoon in 2003, when I found a string, drum-shape cast aside on a New York sidewalk. She became my muse. Kevin Patrick McCarthy light shade melds the carefully homespun qualities of mid-century strings shades with a modern palette of shapes and colors, and a fashion veteran’s attention to unique. high-quality materials.
