Magistral Cabinet by Sebastian Errazuriz

Here is one of the most unusual cabinets I have ever seen – the sculptural Magistral Cabinet created by New York-based artist and designer Sebastian Errazuriz.

From the first sight the cabinet looks a bit dark and gloomy but after a closer inspection you do understand that reflects the artist’s investigation between functionality and symbolism.

The best part of the cabinet is the way he is covered with a protective layer of 80,000 bamboo skewers. According to the master, it was a labor-intensive process that required a team of 12 woodworkers and a total of six weeks.

In 1984 William Saways and Paolo Moroni founded the company. It was based on production of various furniture items. A great number of designers were working with these incredible men and still works. As a rule, each their project, each piece of a furniture is unquie and possesses its own individuality, style and character. Bottega Veneta Furniture Production

Tomas Maier is a creative director of Bottega Veneta and you suppose, I will either write something about him or clothes from this brand. But, you are not right! This brand is too diverse and (It was a surprise for me) and may be I will surprise you as well – Bottega Veneta produces furniture and I must confess, I am on the brink of falling in love with it. Furniture Feast and WaterParad

Exhibitions are always feasts and they attract thousands of people. And, as a rule, only popular artists are highlighted there. But, not so, far I visited an exhibition of my friends. One of them is a 4th-years student at Architecture University. She is extremely talented and almost all her things are masterpieces. I adore watching her working or creating something. This exhibition “WaterParad” was devoted to Seven Wonders of The World, she was showing her basin in a Student Concept division.

So, don’t be confused or puzzled, each basin possesses its own title, sometimes really strange, but…

The first one, is a general view onto the whole exposition. It is amazing, isn’t it?

The next one is a marvellous basin from transparent glass, so it is lovely to wash your hands in it and to enjoy water. It has no siphon, so, you can just pour water there and fresh yourself.

Nice view onto an amazing basin-bridge. It is so cool and big, right for large and luxurious house.

Cool basin in a form of horn. Will definitely make your bath a nice place to visit! If you don’t want to fresh yourself, you can just blow in it! Nice sound, I must say!

A cute wooden basin, so comfortable and nice looking. I like this basin, it is both simple and elegant and at the same time, homy.

The next basin is a basin-propeller or a basin-smile – really adorable! It is friendly and again homy.

My favourite one – Masjaka-basin. Unusual and good-looking basin, made in Japanese style.

Places to have rest. There it was possible to sit and to relax. The arm-chairs are really comfortable, they wrapped my body. The only one thing I missed, a cup of hot tea.

Enjoy the incredible lamp, it is so curve, that I felt vertiginous…
