Have you ever heard of Oops design awards, this is a very “honourable award” that was found by Andrej Statskij earlier this year. The following award is given to those who managed to create the ugliest,silliest and most useless products in furniture design, design itself, tableware and houseware design, lighting and etc. Not very prestigious, yeah? You are welcome to get acquainted with the winners 2008:

Flock lamp,designed by Julia Lohmann. Oh my God, it looks really terrible! Who would dare to hang such a thing in a house?

XXL chair,designed by Janneke Hooymans&Frank Tjepkema. One of the funniest things ever, truly disgusting.

Lamp-dog,designed by Fiona Jean Thomson. It looks like a beaheaded Queen, sad and terrifying.

Nature V 2.01 chair,designed by Draw Me A Shieep designers. Frankly speaking, I don’t think nature can create something as ugly as this thing.

Anyway, it doesn’t matter whether you can or you can’t sit on aluminum chairs, the Aluminum Chair Company Imeco doesn’t cares and goes on with their production of nice and cold sitting-chairs.

The following chair comes in many colours and it is named the sexy one. To tell the truth, I don’t think that it is very sexy but it has some nice curves. I think its back part is the most attractive. Agree???

I like it in metallic and pink, really stylish indeed.

And now the same chair comes in green and velvet. I think it must be more pleasant (at least while touching), very soft and gentle.

We have already heard and seen numerous creations from celebrities. I mean various perfumes, jewelry and clothes are a must. But, furniture, it’s really something new, Although, the furniture itself is as old as the hills. Famous rapper Pharrell Williams will make his own chair “The Perspective” together with Domeau & Pérès. The chair will be available in few colours and it shows the relations between a man and a woman. I think it will burn holes in fans’ pockets!

I met this piece of furniture a couple of hours ago and I still really like it. It seems so simple, even too simple and so comfortable at the same time. Its curvy design allows to enjoy multiple positions, the only one thing, I don’t know where to put my head.

Leaf design is created from birch plywood and high density cushion, the fabric is washable and removable.
