Some people are so talented that they change the world and made it turn upside down. I am so glad to share with you a fantastic story of rolling bridge by Thomas Heatherwick. This unusual creation is a part of the Grand Union Canal at Paddington Basin, London. The following bridge consists of eight special  sections. They are connected to each other with the help of hydraulic pistons.

5 World’s Tallest Skyscrapers

After having written a post about skyscrapers I made my find to find more about them and to determine the tallest buildings n the world. So, after some efforts and searches I am ready to present you a list of the most accurate compilation of the tallest building in the world.

  1. Taipei 101

Location: Taiwan (Taipei city)

Height: 509 m (1,671 ft)

Floors: 101

Date: 2004

Interesting facts: as far as you have already understood, it is the tallest building in the world and it holds this record since 2004. This building has the tallest roof, the outdoor observation deck is the highest in the world and highest occupied floor as well. It managed to break the half-kilometer mark in height. The design was inspired by traditional Chinese architecture, so it has a strong resemblance to a typical pagoda, its project was approved by a Feng Shui master and the whole construction is based on the number 8. By the way, it possesses the quickest lifts in the world, cost for each exceeds $US 2 million.

There are so many bridges in the world, most of them even don’t worth our attention, but, also, there are some bridges, that keep you on tenterhooks either looking at them or driving. So, 5 top strangest bridges in the world:

  1. Bridges Glanerbeek are the 1st bridges in our list. There were three main transportation arteries in this area: for pedestrians, bikes and buses. The aim was to divide these three areas while making amazing bridges. The entire construction is based on a thin, but reliable deck. The bridges look very harmonically and so close to nature.
