I’ve just came across an Areaware company site and I must confess I liked it greatly since the following New York City based company stands on basics of functionality and unusual sometimes even shocking design. I love the way they see things. All their products are carefully thought-over and one-of-a-kind. As a rule they are festive, and decorative but always go beyond ornament. What is more, all their products have such meaning beneath and to deepen the relationship between people and the everyday objects that is the idea behind their creation. I highly recommend you to pay your undivided attention to their candles, since they are fantastic:

  •  Bulb candle

You will have to try hard before finding the difference between the following candle and a real bulb. The candle comes with a removable wax base.

  • Little Joseph

I have never seen a more humorous candle holder. As a candle melts the wax drips over the baby’s head. What a nice hairdo indeed.

  • Grans Candlestick

Pure elegance and classic style.

I have been making my candles at home and using paraffin wax. Is soy wax better?

Life in Art Deco Style
by Jazzassin
Art Deco: It's the most subtle of all styles of architecture, art and furniture, imho. Always looks modern - almost futuristic, nearly a 100 years after its origin at the World Exhibition 1925. Never goes out of style. Always elegant & stylish in a practical way. The world as a whole should be designed
SHOJI. Japanese holding screens.
by Furniture
Japanese shoji screen is made of paper, fabric, or glass on a wooden frame. And you should know that it could be used as a room divider, or for windows or doors. The traditional Japanese house is similar to a very large piece of furniture, especially the floor and the tatami
