How to Choose Pillows

Believe it or not, but a good pillow can work wonders and let your sleeping be as comfortable as never before. First of all, a good pillow ensures support to your neck and back and then it turns your apartment into a stylish one. Check out the following tips before buying a pillow.

  • labels and manufacturer

Find out as much as possible about labels and manufacturers in order to have at least a general idea what a pillow is made of. As a rule, a pillow fills can be polyester, foam, goose down or a combination of feathers and goose down. Down is the most expensive material, since it is comfy and can take any shape you like. The only one minus, it won’t suit those suffering from allergies. I vote for polyester since it is fluffy, comfy and non-allergic.

How to Choose Pillows

  • firmness

“Filled to capacity … ” that is the way the good pillow should be filled. The more fill, the firmer the pillow – the better its quality.

  • soft pillow

A soft pillow is the right choice for those who frequently move around at night, since such a pillow will prevent them from neck straining.

How to Choose Pillows

  • back

If you belong to those people who sleep on their back, buy a medium pillow for good support.

  • side

If you sleep only on your side choose a firm pillow for maximum support.

How to Choose Pillows

  • cover fabric

Cover fabric should be soft and breathable.

  • seams

Check the pillow’s seams, since they should be tightly sewn in order to eliminate fill leakage.

How to Choose Pillows

  • allergies

If you suffer from allergies, make sure your new pillow is “hypo-allergenic”  or “allergy-free” and always buy pillow covers only with a zipper.

Life in Art Deco Style
by Jazzassin
Art Deco: It's the most subtle of all styles of architecture, art and furniture, imho. Always looks modern - almost futuristic, nearly a 100 years after its origin at the World Exhibition 1925. Never goes out of style. Always elegant & stylish in a practical way. The world as a whole should be designed
SHOJI. Japanese holding screens.
by Furniture
Japanese shoji screen is made of paper, fabric, or glass on a wooden frame. And you should know that it could be used as a room divider, or for windows or doors. The traditional Japanese house is similar to a very large piece of furniture, especially the floor and the tatami
