Beer Can Butterflies Artworks

Paul Villinski is a great contemporary artist that was born in York, Maine in 1960. Art and flying are two main passions of this man. May be it is the main reason why his works are so unusual and why he makes them from… beer cans…

Paul makes a great and very useful work, he gathers all these cans and breathes new life into them. In such a way, cans become butterflies (which mean the perfect harmony of individual beauty and living in community). These hips of “trash” turn into something really beautiful and meaning.

Villinski compares his work to yoga of fingers, ’cause it is impossible to create the antenna of a butterfly from a beer can without complete inner stillness. There are no exact butterflies, each element is unique, individual.

I love his designs with butterflies, they are fresh and add pizzazz to any room, these butterflies have iron hearts, but they look so alive.
