As far as I understand designers try their best to create completely opposite apartments. One is grey and dull and another is too light to be true and consists of white colours solely. Right now I am talking about the glacier loft that was created in the attic of an historic building in Lucerne, Switzerland. The project was made by Gus Wustemann Architects. The most part of the apartment consists of plywood.
The project was actually called the glacier because it features a staircase that leads up to a rooftop terrace. The broad staircase is one of the most important details of the house, you can sit and sleep on it, as well as read a book and spend some time.
The apartment overlooks the old town of Lucerne. The main idea behind the staircase is to unite the whole building and reflect light into the depth of the plan.
One of the most amazing houses so far!
