Well, I am very glad to tell you that the Christmas spirit has already kicked in my house. Our city and its streets are decorated and ready to meet this festive and warm holiday. And I want my house to be a part of celebration and to look really cheer. The following ideas helped me to make my house look spice and I hope they will be useful to you as well:
- clean your house – get rid of the junk, and repair some place if needed;
- pay your attention to the living room, since it is exactly the place where you will receive your guests and celebrate the event;
- buy a Christmas tree and decorate it the way you like;
- gather some evergreen boughs and branches and let your home smell like Christmas, also decorate the staircase, and front door with these branches;
- hang bright and festive ribbons on chandeliers and lamps;
- place teddies and other toys all around the house, put them in every corners on every sofa – the more the better;
- draw pictures on windows – use special snow sprays;
- hang traditional Christmas stockings on your mantle;
- create a collage of old Christmas cards – it will look touching;
- place colourful and scented candles around the house and don’t forget to burn them from time to time;
- decorate the entrance door with beautiful wreaths;
- lit pathways leading to your house;
- hang small ornaments on any houseplant in your home;
- think of outside boxes filled with evergreen boughs and branches as well as Christmas ornaments.
Happy decorating and celebrating!
