I am talking about the sculpture installed in the courtyard of a hotel in Lyon and it is named the 25-metre-long Bourrasque sculpture that was completed for the city’s annual Festival of Lights.

In his installation “Bourrasque”, designer easily combined his interest in the nature and morphology of paper with … light.

To put it short, we deal with a very ambitious project. Can you imagine, the “Bourrasque” measures 25 metres in length and reaches over 15 metres at its highest point.

Here comes a mind-blowing lamp design named Flax Five that was designed by Christien Meindertsma who graduated from the Design Academy Eindhoven in 2003.

Flax is one of the most important textile fibres in the Netherlands, so there is no other place in the world where such lamps could have been created.

Meindertsma works with flax, that is twisted into strands and incorporated into products—such as rope lighting.
