This quirky lamp by German-born, Australia-based lighting designer Volker Haug comes with individually hand-cast porcelain components glazed in brown and white. The master claims that the design was inspired by double adapters and, of course, reindeer.

You cam get the lamp through Matilda Design as wall mounted or a hanging pendant. I am ready to bet you will love it especially when holidays are coming.

Choose your reindeer!

Fell free to meet ‘Rhizome’ that is a pendant lamp designed by paris-based Matali Crasset for spanish brand Arturo Alvarez. The main idea behind the lamp is the fact it was created rom a single sheet of metal.

The pictures are great but the lamp itself is even better and it definitely belongs to one of those pieces I see that make me say “Wow! Incredible!”

Each lamp comes in a waterfall shape and these hanging components are mind-blowing. I love the fact the endings of the lamps are colored in either silver or yellow.

The lighting source is protected by a core and the light is very secure and romantic. Such a lamp will easily add some personality to any interior.

If you belong to those who love everything ecologically friendly Trash Me Lamp is the right thing for you to like. The following lamp was created from the paper pulp of 4-paper egg cartons that are spread over a mold and left to dry.

Well, they say that the idea behind the piece is “transient,” that is this lamp can be taken apart quickly and then recycled into something new when it is no longer in need.

The lamp was designed by Victor Vetterlein, and it is a kind of product that is ephemeral. This piece of art remind me how transient everything in our life is.

The Trash Me lamp is produced by &Tradition.

I am here to present you a really fun and unusual way to make this or that room shine. Here comes a fun and functional collection which comprises a hanging lamp and a floor lamp with rotational-moulded polymer diffusers and they are named Yo-Yo lamps by Estudio Almerich.

To put it short, the Yo-Yo Lamp is a playful interpretation of the classic child’s toy. The lamp features two discs attached to an axel. But there is no winding and unwinding there, this axel essentially acts as a convenient spool for the access wire and it looks awesome.

The Yo-Yo Lamp is strangely sophisticated despite being inspired by a plaything. I really like its soft, cool light and a red fabric-covered cord.

The lamp is available in two versions.

Oh, I still remember those fantastic childhood memories when everything was so touching and sweet and those fluffy clouds in the sky, they were so high and so romantic. I am ready to the that the same idea visited the heads of these designers behind Le Nuage.

To put it short, Le Nuage is a suspended handmade light that resembles a cloud. They say that each cloud is made from polyester wadding, that is why they all are exclusive and each light is one of a kind with its own unique shape.

The project is created by Netherlands-based designer Wout Wessemius. All the lamps use energy-efficient bulbs.

Here comes one of the most amazing installations I’ve seen these years, lol and it looks like a fantastic sculpture resembling pieces of paper caught in the breeze created by London designer Paul Cocksedge.

I am talking about the sculpture installed in the courtyard of a hotel in Lyon and it is named the 25-metre-long Bourrasque sculpture that was completed for the city’s annual Festival of Lights.

The sculpture looks like a ream of paper scatters in a gust of wind, soaring high into the black winter night, the idea is so touching and brilliant.

In his installation “Bourrasque”, designer easily combined his interest in the nature and morphology of paper with … light.

To put it short, we deal with a very ambitious project. Can you imagine, the “Bourrasque” measures 25 metres in length and reaches over 15 metres at its highest point.

Here comes a mind-blowing lamp design named Flax Five that was designed by Christien Meindertsma who graduated from the Design Academy Eindhoven in 2003.

Flax is one of the most important textile fibres in the Netherlands, so there is no other place in the world where such lamps could have been created.

Meindertsma works with flax, that is twisted into strands and incorporated into products—such as rope lighting.

These masterpieces were created by Christian Vivanco in collaboration with the Casa Gutierrez Najera gallery in Queretaro, Mexico. The lighting project, Las Gordas is a series of lamps in a number of sizes made from a commonly used plastic colander.

The main idea behind the project was to take an object and to make something completely unusual with its help.

Gorgeous or not?!
