Creativeness… everybody wants to be a creative person and should the opportunity present itself to show this creativeness. Some people try to hide this but it is no use to make in defiance of common sense. So, ladies and gentlemen, Maurizio Lamponi is to your attention.

Maurizio Lamponi used to be an ordinary student of ordinary Mechanical Engineering Faculty in Milan, he learned technique, manufacturing and art… But, it was not his way, he wasn’t interested in what he was learned. So, when occasion offered he started collaborating with a photographer and in 1984 even managed to open his own design studio.

His bio is bright and interesting but it is not the point of our conversation, so let’s better enjoy his works, namely – LAMPS. It is important to know, that every lamp is “an only copy” and if you have chosen a lamp, that is not available right now, you’ll have to wait not less then 30 days . No doubts, it takes some time to manufacture this masterpiece. And, pay attention, even two lamps of one model, can have some differences.

Every lamp was born in mind and imagination of Maurizio Lamponi and started as a sketch. The following photos are excellent, just enjoy them…

Tomas Maier is a creative director of Bottega Veneta and you suppose, I will either write something about him or clothes from this brand. But, you are not right! This brand is too diverse and (It was a surprise for me) and may be I will surprise you as well – Bottega Veneta produces furniture and I must confess, I am on the brink of falling in love with it. It is anything but clear, what unites the Bottega Veneta furniture, jewelry, clothing and accessories? The answer is simple: a desire for good design, quality and functionality.

Bed from Bottega Veneta

At the St. Regis New York Hotel you can stay at the Bottega Veneta Suite (price ranges from $ 5,500 to $6,500 per one night). To tell the truth, pieces of Bottega Veneta furniture are mixed with the existing St. Regis Louis XVI-style furniture. This suite is a luxurious one! Enjoy!!!

Ku-dir-ka Rocking chair from Contraforma.

Actually, this chair doesn’t look as a rocking one, but, according to reliable source, it really rocks. Also, it is made from painted plywood and available in 3 colours: red, black and neon. Looks like a real centipede! Pretty cool!

Exhibitions are always feasts and they attract thousands of people. And, as a rule, only popular artists are highlighted there. But, not so, far I visited an exhibition of my friends. One of them is a 4th-years student at Architecture University. She is extremely talented and almost all her things are masterpieces. I adore watching her working or creating something. This exhibition “WaterParad” was devoted to Seven Wonders of The World, she was showing her basin in a Student Concept division.

So, don’t be confused or puzzled, each basin possesses its own title, sometimes really strange, but…

The first one, is a general view onto the whole exposition. It is amazing, isn’t it?

General view - exhibition

The next one is a marvellous basin from transparent glass, so it is lovely to wash your hands in it and to enjoy water. It has no siphon, so, you can just pour water there and fresh yourself.

10 Things I Want To Have In My Home

t is not very cold today, well, actually, not extremely cold. But, the presence of winter is clearly perceived. The wind is strong and even icy, leaves are still falling, some trees are almost nude. It seems that my soul is freezing together with the Earth and ground. So, just to warm it up, I decided to drink a cup of tea and to write a list of things I want to be in my own home. No doubts, I can wish a hat from Phillip Treacy or a picture from Pablo Picasso, it doesn’t matter, I will never have one. At least, this autumn. Dear friends, pay attention, things, apart from various and ultra expensive TV-sets, DVD’s, gold desk accessories and so on. Just funny and stylish doodads.

  1. The first place is occupied with… a picture from Vladimir Kush or Jacek Yerka. I will hang it in my hall and will spent hours while looking at it, enjoying it and finding new details. It is so thrilling. And, please, don’t even dare to think that these pictures are cheap and not popular at all, oh, no, in no case. I just don’t have to compete with Louvre in order to hang it in my own room. I adore surrealism, it is incredible art.

  2. The next thing I would like to see in my home is a KISS Chair from Silence and Grace. Why? Because it can make me laugh, it will draw attention of my friends and occasional visitors, because I feel myself a real designer while looking at it (actually, this chair is made in a form orchid, but I can spend hours while proving, that it is a KISS!) But, I don’t want to cheat myself – it is not convenient at all.
