A Spain-based artist Jammer Jorge Rodriguez-Gerada, created an incredible 2.5 acre sand painting of Obama in Barcelona. His masterpiece is named “Expectation,” and it took him 650 tons of sand and gravel to create it.
According to the artist itself EXPECTATION is an extremely big sand painting that has a strong similarity to Barack Obama. The portrait can be found in the Catalan city of Barcelona. The idea was realized before the 2008 US presidential election. If you would like to create something like this you have to be familiar with a large-scale vector graphic, as well ad GPS topography system. BTW, don’t forget sand!!!
To show the hope for better – that was the idea behind the portrait. This portrait itself is a very brave did, since it took 5 people and days of work.
